In 2019, the Company obtained GPTW certification – “Great Place To Work”. This certification is given by the Great Place To Work Institute which analyzes the satisfaction of its employees with the work environment taking into account different aspects such as organizational climate, remuneration, benefits, growth opportunities, infrastructure, transparency in management and employees’ autonomy.
The ISM Code is part of the International Convention for the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS). In 1987 the Assembly of the International Maritime Organization convened the Committee of Maritime Safety to develop guidelines concerning management on board ship and the land-based to ensure the safe operation of vessels. These guidelines have evolved and the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) was adopted in its current form in 1993 by IMO.
All CBO vessels have the ISM Code certificate issued by the Germanischer Lloyd certifier. The audits are carried out both in the administrative part of the company and in the vessels, so that application of standards is guaranteed.
CBO obtained ISO 9001: 2000 certification by the certifying company Germanischer Lloyd. Frequent audits guarantee the maintenance of the certification.
In 2005, CBO obtained ISO 14001 certification. This standard specifies the requirements related to an environmental management system, formalizing a policy that considers legal requirements and information regarding impacts on the environment that are within its sphere of influence.
In early 2007, CBO obtained OHSAS 18001 certification – Occupational Health and Safety Management System. This standard encompasses the management of Occupational Health and Safety risks associated with CBO’s activities, allowing the control of the risks of accidents and occupational diseases of employees, in order to improve their performance and well-being.
